I’m Sara the owner of West Street Studio located along Port Colborne’s beautiful West Street.
I’ve always been told I’m a dreamer, I think it is because, I am. Having a goal I’m working towards keeps life exciting for me and always in pursuit. This has propelled me into many different roles throughout my life. Social Service Worker, Barista, Interior Designer and Entrepreneur.

We (my husband and I) were fortunate enough to acquire the space on West Street in 2021 as our office for @frankandcompanyca. With an idea in my head and some worldly experience the dreamer in me took over once again. And so, the vision for West Street Workspace was born. A co-working space available for daily rentals to share our spirit and drive with like minded small businesses and entrepreneurs. As the story goes, the business took on a mind of its own and other creatives had visions for the space too. Believing truly that we are all stronger together West Street Studio became the evolved version of our little love West Street Workspace.

Into our Sophomore year, we’ve elevated our services to allow for more people to use the space in ways it inspires them. The mentality is if you can dream it, let’s work together to make it happen.

As a woman entrepreneur who came from a male dominated field for the last 8 years (the construction industry) it is important to me for women to have a voice and space that sees their drive and vision for their own businesses.

I’m incredibly grateful to have this platform to learn and grow with all of you.

A moment for the windows of West Street Studio 🌿

We’re grateful to have collaborated with @lost.legacy.millwork to preserve the architectural integrity of this building. Thank you to @cityofportcolborne Community Initiative Program, we were able to choose windows that perfectly suit our space and West Street. Ultimately, we chose Option B (though Option E was a close second!) and selected light fixtures inspired by the globe in Option E 🌎

The windows bring in light, capture ships, cast beautiful shadows, and the trees remind us that after winter is always spring. They’ve truly become the inspiration of West Street Studio.
